Fun, colourful, and super tasty!
Ingredients:
2 Large beetroots
2 tbsp honey
Pinch of Salt
450g all purpose flour
2 tsp active dry yeast
Fresh Basil
Beetroot Leaves
Watercress Salad
Pomegranate
Radish sprouts
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C
In a bowl mix together warm water and yeast until the mixture resembles a thin soup. Add in the salt, honey and pureed beetroot into the bowl. Then sieve in the flour. Combine all ingredients together until the dough comes together. On a floured surface lay out the dough and knead for 10 minutes. The dough should be moist and tacky. However, the dough shouldn't be sticky so if it is keep adding a teaspoon of flour until it is less sticky. In a new bowl, add in a drop of olive oil and coat the whole ball of dough. Cover the bowl in cling film and set aside for 1-2 hours in a warm place. Once the dough has doubled in size you can split the dough into two. (Half the mixture will roughly make a 12 inch pizza.)
Grease a sheet of parchment paper with oil and use it to stretch out the dough and place onto the tray making sure it is spread evenly across the whole tray by using a rolling pin. Take off the paper and place into the oven for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove from oven and garnish with all the ingredients listed (add as you wish).
Place back into the oven for 5 minutes. Remove and leave to stand for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
