Celebrating Roald Dahl Day and the new released publication of Matilda, we thought we would share the amazing Bruce Bogtrotter's cake receipe with you all.
BRUCE BOGTROTTER'S CAKE RECIPE
Ingredients:
230g Chocolate
11 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
150g Sugar
6 Medium Eggs
Icing:
200g Chocolate
200g Double whipped Cream
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 170-175°c
- Lightly crease your cake pan, if preferred line with wax paper to create lining.
- Start by melting the chocolate in a heat proof mixing bowl by placing in the microwave for 3 mins on a low heat.
- Transfer to another bowl and add the following ingredients (Eggs,Flour and Sugar)
- Whisk until the mixture until smooth.
- Once the mixture is at the desired consistency pour into the cake tin and bake for around 30 - 35 minutes and let cool on a wire rack.
- For the icing, melt the choclate and combine the cream on the lowest heat, stirring occasionally until chocolate is completley melted and blended with cream.
- Remove the cake from pan when cool and flip upside down now ice the cake!
