55g / 2oz popping corn kernels

4 tsp. sugar

2 tsp. water

30g / 1oz butter

Salt to taste


Add the corn kernels to the red base of the popcorn maker and close the lid.

Heat in the microwave for up to 3 minutes – or until the popping has stopped.

While the corn is popping, add the sugar in the water to a small saucepan and dissolve over low-medium heat.

When the sugar is nearly dissolved, add the butter and stir constantly while it melts.

When the sugar and butter is ready, turn the popcorn maker over and carefully remove the red base.

Pour the butter mixture as evenly as possible over the popcorn.

Replace the red base and shake.

Add a final sprinkle of salt to the popcorn, tasting for the right balance.
