360g dried pasta 60p
1 tsp salt 3p
2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil 20p
2 cloves of garlic 10p
1 tsp of chilli flakes 10p
4 sausages £1.50
1 x 400g tinned tomatoes 50p
2 tbsp of evaporated milk 20p
1 handful of basil (optional)


Cook the pasta in plenty of salted boiling water for 9-10 minutes.
Meanwhile pre heat a large non-stick pan and add a little olive oil.
Crush, peel and chop your garlic before adding to the pan followed by the chilli flakes.
Carefully cut the sausages out of their skins and add to the pan.
Using the back of your spoon break the sausage meat up, as the pasta is cooking your will see some white foamy water appear, scoop it out and add to the sausage meat while cooking.
Add in a tin of chopped tomatoes and a splash of evaporated milk.
Continue to cook the sauce for 2-3 minutes before lifting out the pasta straight into the sauce.
Stir the pasta together and finish with a handful of fresh basil.
